"SHARING THE CROSS"

Fifty years ago several families with a love for Christ had the foresight and vision to establish the congregation which became Windover Hills United Methodist Church. Soon after obtaining a charter from the Western Pennsylvania Conference of the Methodist Church, they devised the slogan, "Lift High the Cross," and proceeded to build the sanctuary that we currently enjoy.

 

In 1980, the congregation added the Education Wing to our facilities, proclaiming "The Cross Is Lifted O'er Us." And in 2002, under the banner "For Love of The Cross," the congregation built Fellowship Hall.

 

In that same spirit we now proclaim 2008, our 50th Anniversary year, to be a time for "Sharing the Cross."

 

Each member of the congregation of 2008 will have an opportunity for "Sharing the Cross" by circulating Anniversary Information packages via a member-to-member chain. A member will deliver an Anniversary Information package to you, and you in turn will be asked to pass the package forward to the next person in your chain.

 

Distribution will begin on June 1 and, shortly thereafter, you should receive your package.

 

The goal is not only for every member to receive the information, but for every member to participate in "Sharing the Cross."
