Children and Youth

Christian youth fellowship.

   College Connection   
Sends letters and packages every month to college students connected to our church.
Time commitment: A few hours a month.

   Acolytes   
3rd graders and older, light and extinguish the altar candles during the traditional Sunday service.
Time commitment: One Sunday every other month.

   Jubilee Singers   
Children's choir (grades 3-8) performs periodically throughout the year at both the contemporary and traditional services.
Time commitment: Practice Thursday 4:30 - 5:30.

   Preschool   
Preparing children for kindergarten by making education fun.
Time commitment: Daily 9 am - noon.

Serving Others
   Fellowship Team   
Special functions to make Windover Hills a warm and welcoming place for all of our members and friends.
Time commitment: Varies throughout the year.

Help maintain the church grounds and building.
Time commitment: Once a month for grounds keeping; as needed for the church building

   Library   
Organize books and media in the church library and manage the borrowing system.

   Transportation   
Provide rides to our church services for those without transportation.
Time commitment: Sundays as needed

   Ushers   
Welcomes worshipers to the traditional service, distributes bulletins, collects the offerings and distributes communion.
Time commitment: One Sunday per month

   Counters   
Count and record the offerings from both services following the 11 am traditional service.

   Liturgist   
Leads the worship service and reads Bible passages at the 11 am traditional service.

   Web Ministry

Outreach in our Community & Beyond
   MOPS (Mothers Of Preschoolers)   
Nurture mothers of preschoolers by meeting their distinct needs to the glory of Jesus Christ.
Time commitment: 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month, Sept. - May

   Mission Work Teams - Disaster Relief   
Coordinate relief efforts for those whose homes are damaged by natural disasters.
Time commitment: One week per year or more if needed.

   Congregate Feed   
Cook and serve meals for the homeless.
Time commitment: Several times a year

   Family Bible Camp   
A time of Bible study and family fellowship for three consecutive evenings in August.
Time commitment: 3 evenings from 6-9 p.m.

   Ecumenical Vacation Bible School   
A time of learning for children about various aspects of the Bible. Sponsored by Windover Hills, Grace Lutheran and Nativity Catholic churches.
Time commitment: 5 weekdays in June from 9 am until noon.

   Education Committee Mission Projects   
Mission fund raising projects for various needs throughout the community and the world, including UNICEF, Mitten Tree, Angel Tree and the Heifer Project.
Time commitment: 2-3 weeks, various times throughout the year.

   Meals On Wheels - South Park   
Provide meal services to the elderly and disabled who are homebound.
Time commitment: As your time permits.

   Shiloh Food Bank   
Provide non-perishable food products for the food bank.

   Alcoholics Anonymous   
Our church makes its facilities available to AA, which helps people control their alcohol addictions.
Time commitment: Saturday at 10 am.

   S.A.S.S.   
Seniors are Special Somebodies.
Time commitment: 11:30 a.m., 3rd Friday of the month

Meeting at someone's house for fellowship and desert after seeing a movie of your choice.

   Praise Team   
The Purple Daisies lead the congregation in music during the Contemporary Sunday service (8:30 a.m.), year-round.
Click here to visit their web site and listen to their music. Share your musical gift as a guest performer during recurring "Special Music" presentations, or become a regular weekly Daisy... musicians, singers and a/v techs are invited to sit in at a rehearsal and meet with the team.

Lift their voices during the Traditional (11 am) Sunday service, September through May.
