   Holy Communion

Holy Communion will be offered at both services this Sunday. Please bring a non-perishable food item for Shiloh Food Bank and place it in the blue box opposite the kitchenette in the Education Wing.

   Summer ushers needed

Ushers are needed for the 10 a.m. traditional service during July and August. You can sign up for one or more Sundays, and families are welcome. The sign-up sheet is on the ushers' table in the Narthex.

   Music for summer Sundays

WHUMC members, friends and family members are welcome to make a musical contribution to one or more of our worship services this summer. Singers, instrumentalists, groups- all are welcome. Contact Jodi Hyrb at 412-833-2927.

Annual Wild Things outing (note date change)

We're planning our annual trip to watch the Wild Things, an independent minor league baseball team in Washington, PA. The team is saving 125 seats for us for their Thursday, August 6 game against Lake Erie. The promotion that night is "Dollar Thurst Day"- all beverages are one dollar. Tickets for the 7:05 pm game are $7; family, friends and neighbors are all welcome to attend. Call Paul Downey, 412-653-7372 for information and reservations.

   MOPS "vacation"

While MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) won't resume its semi-monthly meetings here at the church until the fall, it doesn't mean they're taking a break. A dozen activies are scheduled throughout the summer. Click here for their schedule, which includes Moms' Night Out, picnics, and trips to the zoo and other fun places. Please contact Heidi Calhoun at hlcalhoun@verizon.net for more information.

Financial help that won't cost you a penny...

...just a bit of your time. We can always use counters to tally the weekly offering after the traditional service every Sunday. If you can help, please call Nancy Reilly at 412-655-7884.

   Youth Advisors needed

The Junior and Senior Youth Groups are looking for help for the 20009-10 year. They need a female advisor for the senior youth group, a lead advisor for the senior youth group, and a youth coordinator to oversee both groups. If you're interested in helping in any of these positions, please contact Pastor Rico, 412-655-4824.

   Be a teacher!

Our Sunday school is in need of teachers for the nursery and the first and second grade class beginning in September. We are also looking for a coordinator for Kids' Korner. If you would like to help, please call Katie Reilly, 412-655-7884, or the office, 412-653-6899.

   Volunteers needed

Volunteers are needed to pick up baked goods at Panera Bread in South Park Shops at 9 pm Saturday for the following morning's fellowship time. Volunteers are also needed to help clean up after the fellowship time or following the 11 am service. You can sign up on the calendar located in the Fellowship Hall kitchen.

   Sunday fellowship time

A fellowship time is held each Sunday between the contemporary and traditional services in Fellowship Hall. Baked goods donated by Panera Bread and a variety of beverages are available. You're welcome to take home any leftovers.

   Join us!

If you're interested in becoming a member of our church family, please call Pastor Rico at 412-655-4824 or send an e-mail to revrico2@WindoverHills.org.
